JT Atkinson Ulverston
JTA Ulverston
Builders Merchants Showroom Design and Installation

Project Overview
JT Atkinson needed a trade showroom concept that could scale - one that felt modern, clear, and consistent across locations. Ripple delivered the “JTA Living” concept: a modular showroom design that boosted footfall, revenue, and customer satisfaction from day one.
Project Details
the challenge
As the brand grew, each JT Atkinson showroom had its own look and feel, making the customer journey unpredictable and the in-store brand experience fragmented. They needed a blueprint: one concept that could work everywhere, while still feeling local and personal.

Our Solutions
Ripple created a scalable showroom format that balanced consistency, flexibility, and customer-first thinking.

Welcome Desk as Anchor
A clearly defined, central reception point gave customers a warm first touch and immediate access to service.

Consultation Zone Integration
Positioned directly behind the desk, this space gave staff and customers a clear point for personalised advice and planning.

Versatile Display Bays
Designed for ongoing change, the modular bays could be updated seasonally or by product category to keep the space fresh and relevant.
Installation & Launch
We worked closely with Paul Campbell, Head of Showroom and Merchandising, to prototype the concept at Ulverston, setting the benchmark for future sites. The “JTA Living” concept was delivered end-to-end by Ripple, from design through to fit-out.
The results speak for themselves:
- 29% increase in revenue in the first 2 months
- 14% uplift in average sales value within a year
- 200% footfall growth
- New branch sales records in year one
- Kitchen & Bathroom Showroom of the Year – BMJ Awards 2024
JTA Living is now rolling out across JT Atkinson’s estate, standardising quality and scaling a retail format that delivers.
