Interactive Displays with RFID Technology
Ripple has collaborated with leading cookware manufacturer Meyer Group to develop bespoke display bays for Lakeland stores across the UK.
Our unique display solution enhances the shopper-experience, making the purchasing process more intuitive and educational. It helps customers differentiate between cookware products and learn about specific uses and applications. It also encourages them to interact with brands and product ranges and extends dwell-time.
The displays are enabled by radio frequency identification (RFID) place and learn technology.
Design Studio Gallery, Clerkenwell
Ripple was commissioned to develop, manufacture and install furniture and displays for Parkside's new design studio gallery in Clerkenwell, London. Working with the client and appointed architects Feix & Merlin’s design intent concepts, we developed the designs, created detailed rendered visuals and produced technical specifications in preparation for our manufacturing process.
The concept, based on an art gallery experience incorporates some unique and dramatic forms, combining a mix of materials including solid surface, birch-faced plywood, architectural LED lighting, and engineered frames powder-coated in an orange finish with matt lacquered grooved steps made from Valcromat.
New Cookware Range Displays
We're proud to reveal that we have created merchandising stands for a new range of cookware by celebrity health coach Joe Wicks. We worked with the Meyer Group who are the UK’s largest supplier of innovative kitchenware, to design and manufacture the Joe Wicks point-of-purchase display products.
Ripple's key account director Hannah Wolfenden said: “The in-store range of display and merchandising equipment was developed initially from Ripple’s hand-sketched concepts. We then progressed to fully-rendered visuals featuring 3D virtual models of the various ranges of Joe Wicks products. This enabled our design team to determine what form and dimensions the display solutions would require."
Dulux Decorator Centre
DDC Head Office Reception Counter
Our client Dulux Decorator Centre (DDC) approached Ripple with a brief of creating a bespoke, visually impactful reception counter and 3D feature wall at their Head Office in Altrincham. The purpose of the design was to instantly give customers an insight into DDC’s quality and creativity from the moment they enter the office space.
The counter was constructed from Colour Core, so no joints were visible. Moisture resistant MDF panels were then sprayed in vibrant Dulux paint colours to again, create a 3D effect at the counter to compliment the back wall. An illuminated lightbox with acrylic branding of the logo was featured on the front of the counter to really draw attention to the brand.
Store Format Development
Ripple has been instrumental in working with Topps Tiles to develop their store format and environment to help enhance the new brand image and customer experience. The improved layout, merchandising and communication has delivered great results and enabled store alignment as the new concept is rolled out across the Topps Tiles estate

The brief included comfortable consultation zone, a quick service till, a mixing desk and relaxing wallpaper book bar area for browsing and colour matching.
Ripple designed and manufactured all the display elements and completed the installation in two days!
Multi Functional Showroom
Ripple and Cleland McIver have worked together for several years, and on this occasion our client had a vision to create their new Showroom.
The final solution was based on achieving a ‘Glamdustrial’ look and feel; a contemporary industrial style using blackened steel and American Walnut timber to contrast with the soft furnishing fabrics and their varied colours and textures.
With thoughtfully designed fittings and accessories, the area can be easily adapted to present the themed ranges from the extensive product offering.
Flagship Store, Windsor
Ripple have recently completed the manufacture of the dynamic new look furniture and fixtures for the Trespass flagship store in Windsor, an evolution of the in-store brand image being rolled out to other premier locations. Using a visual combination of multi-faceted oak veneer and hard wearing textured steel, the look raises the profile and the Ripple Team thrived on the creative and technical challenges. In the Windsor store in addition to the Trespass brand it also incorporates a Nevisport department featuring brands such as RAB, Berghaus, North Face and Jack Wolfskin.

Boots Mini Club
Children's Clothing Display
Boots Mini Club team challenged Ripple to develop a new flexible free-standing children’s clothing display end to replace the tired fixtures which needed refreshing. The challenge here was to design a unit which fell within a strict 3D footprint but also optimised the number of product facings to achieve maximum display possibilities. Taking it from a “blank canvas”, we first worked up some concept options before homing in on the preferred one – this went through several iterations of size, product facings and colour finishes before going to prototype and then roll out.
Small Store Format
The project followed the success of the small format ‘Boutique’ High Street stores, the teams at Ripple and Topps worked closely to develop a larger size format (around 200 to 300 m²). The inaugural store was Knutsford (next to the McLaren dealership) closely followed by Wilmslow. The Knutsford store staff namely Mike, Lee, Jo and Rachel had all previously worked in the traditional format stores and commented how much the customers loved this new environment which achieved sales beyond all expectations from the offset.
Paving & Driveway Display Development
Ripple was commissioned by Marshalls to provide a solution to display and communicate their unique patio and driveway ranges within Jewson’s outlets.
Following an in-depth process involving research, consultation, team breakthrough sessions and creative input, the result was outstanding. It provided inspiration, clarity of the product offer and great flexibility whilst being updatable, and future proof.
A further challenge was to make some of the elements of the displays ‘indoor/outdoor compatible’ and to suit the nature of the product the equipment is robust, heavy duty and weatherproof, performing in a spectrum of environments.
