Graham & Brown Paint & Paper
Trade / Retail Design & Manufacture

Project Overview
Graham & Brown partnered with Ripple to develop a modular display system for paint and wallpaper samples, rolling out across independent decorator centres nationwide. Designed to feel like home, each unit brings its product experience closer to the customer.

the challenge
Sampling is key in home décor, but often feels disconnected in retail. Graham & Brown wanted a smarter, more immersive way for customers to view samples in-store. The solution had to be adaptable, user-friendly, and easy to roll out across multiple locations.

Our Solutions
Ripple created a modular, furniture-style sampling unit designed to make paint and wallpaper testing feel more personal and intuitive.

Warm, Home-Inspired Design
We moved away from cold, retail-first displays and designed home-style cabinets built with joinery-grade finishes to reflect how the products would feel in real spaces.

Lighting That Builds Confidence
Adjustable lighting controls were built into the units so customers could test paint and paper under both warm and cool tones, helping them feel confident in their choices.

Integrated, Scalable Sampling System
The modular units featured integrated colour chip and wallpaper swatch displays, with multiple format options including a flagship 2-metre unit - all manufactured in-house to meet Graham & Brown’s standards.
Installation & Launch
Over 20 stores and counting now feature the new units, with more being added each month. The displays bring confidence to customers and visibility to the product range - exactly what a sample station should do.
As more retailers adopt the format, Ripple continues to support with new unit combinations and ongoing rollout.
