Back in 2019 and after years of hard work and rigorous assessment we were awarded the prestigious Investors in People Gold Award. It’s a massive achievement for any business to be accredited with Investors in People, never mind the gold standard, but what exactly does that mean and how does it affect you, the customer?
Recognised the world over, IIP accreditation quite simply demonstrates a clear commitment to the people who make up an organisation, and with only 7% of IIP accredited organisations actually achieving the gold standard, our team quite rightly feel extremely proud of their achievement.
We were visited again by the assessment team late last year to ensure that we were still in line with the framework and had continued to develop our business towards the new goals, and even in light of the pandemic, we’re proud to say that we ticked all of the boxes, retaining the gold accreditation.
So, how exactly do you, our customer, benefit from this IIP Gold Accreditation?
Benchmarking against the Best.
Quite possibly the greatest benefit of the IIP independent assessment framework is that it offers a clear benchmark against the very best performing companies, with extensive employee interviews and many indicators in what makes a great people focussed business, spanning across not only how we treat our staff, but how we conduct our business as a whole. How can you be expected to look after your customers if you can’t look after your staff?
In terms of how we operate, the reviews show that we’re up there alongside some huge players across a wide range of industries and it really is quite humbling.
As our customer, we believe this offers you a massive amount of reassurance, that we’re continually striving for improvement and excellence on all fronts, working to be the very best and growing a dedicated, fully supported team to deliver an exceptional service.

We invest in our people as the accreditation proves, but what that really means is that we support our staff in becoming the very best that they can be. We offer regular training, clear progression, reward schemes and as much support on all fronts as we can, professional and personal. As a family-run business, we feel like our staff are extended members of our family, and need to be treated as such. High staff retention rates and a passionate workforce result in a consistent point of contact for you and someone that genuinely cares about the business, and in turn your business. This extends to our manufacturing facility too, some of our staff have been with us for decades and they take immense pride in their work, delivering exceptional results, consistently. To summarise, our Gold Investors in People accreditation, not only gives us the guidance and reassurance that we as a business are doing what we can to support and develop our staff, but also allows confidence to be instilled in us that we’re constantly striving for the best and our dedicated teams and working with our customers best interests in mind.
I think also the best thing for us as members, is that there is still so much more for us to achieve. The accreditation offers constant development individually as leaders and for the business as a whole, and looking back we can see how far we’ve come already, it’s exciting to think about where we’ll be over the next few years.
